2 pull carts and a dummy

I needed a pull cart for my current project. I'm not much of a hard surface modeler, so I could have bought one on the internet, but somehow I felt obligated to make the car myself.
At first I regretted starting it, but after a while it started to grab me and I happily worked on it for much longer than I could have ever imagined.

I needed a pull cart for my current project. Usually I'm more of a sculpting and organic modeling fan, but I felt I had to try it myself to practice.

And I was lucky. I ended up with TWO carts. And a dummy! :-)

I also put bones on it that could make parts move.
And eventually I also wanted to learn how to make it drive. I've watched some tutorials but haven't put this into practice yet. :-)

Initially my cart turned out to be TOO BIG (I simply started without measuring), then I adjusted it to real measurements, and that's how I came up with this one here ...
but with the dummy behind it I thought it was still TOO SMALL for my needs.

That's why I continued with my larger model. I also had to change my initial textures, because I ran into problems when I tested the cart in iClone, where I want to use it.
iClone inherits the basic colors, not Blender's complicated material node trees.

Parked together neatly next to each other... their handles are in use position.

Here are the handles at rest...and so are the dummies! They have a little chat.

The side panels and the front and rear panels have been removed now. They are now just loading platforms on wheels.

Here too, but now seen from behind. The reflectors work a bit too well, but that's for demonstration :-)

The front and back panels are back in place, the side panels are opend again ... and the dummies just keep on chatting!

Okay, enough chatter guys! Carts are made for driving around, time to leave ...

I'm not sure yet if I'll use both carts in my project. Perhaps a bit of a shame, but two could be a bit too much.
But they've already gotten a lot of attention here, so that's not a big problem anymore. :-)

I made a quick video montage of my screenshots and renders using Corel FastFlick. And after some extra polishing in Corel VideoStudio, I posted it on YouTube.
It is not a tutorial, rather a randomly compiled overview of the creation of the 2 carts.
